What is the CCDG?
The history of CCDG speaks for itself. 47 years of providing a forum for the exchange of information in all areas of chromatorgraphy. Founded in 1961 by several pioneers in gas chromatography, CCDG was the first chromatography discussion group in the United States. Our motto, Sharing in Knowledge, has been the key to the accomplishments of the past and the challenges of the future.
Why Should My Company Become a Member?
CCDG offers a Corporate Membership package that is mutally beneficial. After you choose from a level of commitment, benefits increase. Our newest benefit is the opportunity to speak at a CCDG monthly meeting. This would be a presentation of scientific nature with a topic dealing with separation sciences, where one of your scientists could present to a greater audience. This benefit could give added focus to your company and bring a greater interest to your company's products.
Othere benefits include the opportunity to submit an article to our monthly newsletter, a link on our website to yours, 15% off upcoming events including the 46th annual Introduction to Gas Chromatography.
How Does My Contributio Assist the CCDG?
The CCDG offers two annual scholarships for students in Illinois, Indiana, and southern Wisconsin. One is the Membership Scholarship and the other is the Research Scholarship. The Membership Scholarship is intended for children of CCDG members who are undergraduates majoring in the sciences. The Research Scholarship is for undergraduate or Master's students performing research in separation science or using separations in their work. Previous winners have done work in lab-on-a-chip technology, cystic fibrosis research, and fullerene chemistry (to name a few). Eligible schools are anywhere in Illinois, Indiana, and southern Wisconsin. Applicants do not need to be CCDG members, or related to CCDG members.
In addition, the CCDG is actively planning a GC-MS Course this Fall. |
